rubiconraceteam – Tuning is the process of re-adjusting, cleaning and replacing damaged or worn components, similar to routine maintenance resulting from continuous use of a vehicle. In other words, engine tuning is the process of restoring the condition of your car’s engine to achieve optimal engine performance. What does automatic tuning consist of?

Please pay attention to the following when performing automatic setup:

air filter. This one component is all you need
Easily dirty due to daily use.
carburetor or throttle body

Car battery voltage.

engine valve. Check different types of fluids.

V-belt tension.

spark plug gap.

“Tune” comes from two English words: “Tune” and “Up.” In automotive terminology, the term “tuning” refers to vehicle maintenance procedures aimed at restoring engine performance and making it fit again. In daily use, engine performance will inevitably decrease due to various factors such as lubricant quality, high temperatures and traffic jams.
Automatic setup procedure.

Maintenance work usually involves changing the vehicle’s lubricating oil.

So what do you do during the adjustment? Some engine parts are usually cleaned and adjusted in a repair shop. The following components must also undergo a status check:

1. Air filter
The first is the air filter. These components are susceptible to contamination during use. If it’s still good, just clean it. However, if the filter is worn, the part will need to be replaced.

2. Carburetor or throttle body
Apart from that, components such as the carburetor and throttle body (engines with injection technology) are also cleaned. The carburetor is also adjusted to match the engine speed at idle.

3. Car battery voltage
Don’t forget to check the battery too. Usually the battery voltage should reach 12 volts when the engine is off and 14 volts when the engine is running. If it is below this, the battery is most likely not in good condition and the components need to be replaced.

4. Engine valve
Valve clearance changes with use. If you continue to use manual adjustment, the valve clearance should be adjusted to a density of 0.1 to 0.3 mm. If the gap is too narrow or too loose, engine performance will be compromised.

5. Control various fluids
As a car owner, you also need to monitor and check all the fluids used in your car, such as engine oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, even axle oil.

6. Check V-belt tension
The condition and tension of the V-belt should always be checked. If the V-belt is too loose, it should be adjusted immediately. However, this adjustment procedure only applies to sewing machines with a manual tensioner.

7. Check and clean the spark plug gap
Even if the spark plug gap has been adjusted by the manufacturer, use and interaction with compression pressure can cause the spark plug gap to change. Therefore, you should always check and clean the spark plug gap so that the flame coming out of the spark plug is not too big or too small.

Price range for car tuning services

Check your car regularly to maintain its value

The standard price for car tuning offered at public workshops usually ranges from IDR 350,000.00 to IDR 600,000.00. This price varies depending on vehicle maintenance and inspection. However, please note that this price usually does not include the cost of replacing or repairing parts that are damaged or no longer suitable for use in your car. How many times do I usually need to make automatic adjustments?
Therefore, when the car has reached a mileage limit of more than 120,000 km, it is time for maintenance. Maintenance is usually carried out once a year based on the vehicle’s mileage. If your car is no longer comfortable to drive, you should immediately do maintenance too.

How many months does it take to setel my car? Usually car manufacturers
recommends a specific mileage or service interval, such as every 30,000 miles or every 24 months. Following these guidelines will help keep your vehicle in top condition.

Common maintenance tasks include changing oil, changing tires, checking spark plugs, belts, hoses, etc. Look for a service center or dealer that offers competitive repair prices in the $40 to $150 range while minimizing the hassle of spark plug replacement. and spark plug wires.

The goal of optimization is to ensure the engine operates efficiently, minimize emissions, improve performance, and extend engine life. By tuning your car, you can also find out which components are damaged and need to be replaced immediately before you leave town.
